Albany State University baseball is having an unbelievable season up to this point. They have accumulated 21 wins and only 6 losses. The Golden Rams are also the number one team in the SIAC and hold a conference record of 19-1. This team has had many players step up and put up very impressive numbers such as Chase Karn, Hill Corley, and Zane Ross to name a few. However, one player has shined the brightest on this outstanding team and that would be junior outfielder Lavoisier Fisher.
Fisher has been a force at the plate this season leading the team in many hitting categories. The junior lead the team in OPS(1.273), SLG(.802), RBI’s(42), Hits(35), Total Bases(77), and Homers(11). Fisher has been a staple in this offense since opening day. He has led the team in all those categories while still maintaining a .365 batting average. Fisher is a transfer from Georgia State University in his first season with the Golden Rams and it is safe to say that the transfer feels right at home swinging the bat for the blue and gold.
Lavoisier Fisher was formally invited to the 2023 HBCU All-Star on March 22, 2023. The game will be held at Coolray Field in Lawrenceville, Georgia at 7:15pm. Congrats to Lavoisier on achieving this huge accomplishment and we wish him the best for the rest of the season.
