Central State Women’s Basketball Holds Strong in Regional Poll

ATLANTA (January 30, 2018) – The Central State University women’s basketball team secured their spot at No. 10 in this week’s South Region of the Women’s Basketball Division II Media Regional Poll, sponsored by D2SIDA.

Despite being ranked at No. 8 last week, the Lady Marauders secured their spot at No. 10 after defeating Claflin, 76-55.

This is the fourth time that the Lady Marauders have been regionally ranked.

Not only are they regionally ranked, Central State women’s basketball has the No. 1 scoring offense in the conference as they average 78 points per game.

Central State women’s basketball (17-4; 11-2 SIAC) returns to action at home as they host Spring Hill.  Tip-off is scheduled to begin at 5:30 p.m.

I am a senior, Mass Media Arts major with a concentration in Radio, Television, and Film at Clark Atlanta University in Atlanta, GA. I plan to pursue a graduate degree following my undergraduate experience where I am interested in studying Sports Management.
