The Reinhardt Eagles Wrestling Team, in its 3rd year, has had a historic season. The Eagles finished the regular season with a 12 win and 2 loss dual record. Reinhardt’s only two losses on the season came against NCAA Division I NC State and Division II UNC Pembroke. The Eagles had two outstanding regular season wins against Southeastern University and the University of the Cumberland’s, who were both top five ranked teams in the NAIA.
The Eagles had a dominating AAC Championship performance that featured a first-place team finish and 10 individual champions. Reinhardt will be heading to Des Moines, Iowa to compete in the 2019 NAIA National Tournament. The Eagles have a total of five returning wrestlers that performed in the National Tournament in 2018. Antonio Stewart is one of the Eagle wrestlers returning to the tournament, he wrestled his way to All-American status in 2018. Reinhardt will be traveling 11 wrestlers to compete in the tournament, which is the third most among all NAIA teams in the tournament. The line-up for the Eagles will be Koby Milner (125), Jordan Pitt (133), Curtis Doctor (141), Jody McAlister (149), Dawson Hunt (149), Justin George (157), Cole Tenety (165), Michael Carew (174), Antonio Stewart (184), Jacob Henderson (197), and Hinton Bolinger (285). In the tournament, Reinhardt has 5 Eagles that are seeded in their weight class. Koby Milner, Jordan Pitt, and Justin George are all seeded #11 in each of their weight classes. Michael Care is seeded 3rd in his weight class, and Antonio Stewart is the #1 overall seed in 184. The Eagles are looking to keep improving as a young program that can contend for the 2019 NAIA National Title
