The Gas South Arena in Duluth, GA hosted the 2023 SEC Gymnastics Championships. Session, I featured the 5-8 seeds, including Georgia, Arkansas, Missouri, and Auburn. This will be the 3rd week in a row the SEC gymnastics teams have competed in Duluth. The Gymdogs from Athens, GA have traveled to Duluth for all three weekends: the first a head-to-head against Arkansas on March 5, and matchup with Michigan on March 10.
Auburn, with Olympic gold medalist Sunisa Lee not participating due to non-gymnastics health-related issues, ended up winning their session with a score of 197.100. Auburn’s Cassie Stevens took home the all-around victory.
Missouri chased right behind Auburn with a score of 197.000. Arknansas’ Gymbacks ended in third, and the Georgia Gymdogs earned fourth in their session.

Session II was one for the books. With a record-breaking SEC Championship score of 198.425, the Florida Gators won it all. Alabama took second with a 197.925, followed by LSU-197.800, Kentucky-197.675, and the rankings from session I. Trinity Thomas racked up two perfect 10.0s to lead Florida to victory.
Coming up, the NCAA regional fields will be announced on March 20, as these SEC teams press forward to postseason.
