Georgia State women’s soccer’s Monique Hundley is this week’s GSU Student-Athlete of the Week after she scored two goals in her final home game as a Panther, leading Georgia State to its fourth straight win in Sunday’s 4-0 victory over Coastal Carolina.
It was the first time since 2003 GSU has won four consecutive conference matches.
The senior from Scott, La., netted her first goal in the 24th minute when she chipped a curving shot from about 20 yards out that landed perfectly in the top left corner of the goal. Hundley later gave GSU a 4-0 advantage with her second goal of the evening in the 48th minute.
Hundley set single-match career highs in both total shots with seven and goals with two in Sunday’s win. Her two goals are tied for the second-most in a single match among all Sun Belt players this year.
