The Johnson C. Smith University bowling team will begin their 2015-16 season this upcoming weekend, hosting the first CIAA event on Friday, Nov. 13 through Sunday, Nov. 15.
JCSU, under second-year coach Kim Miles-Hughey, returns one senior bowler in Nyjae Dickerson (Wilmington, Del.) as well as one junior, Zana Cornelius (Greensboro, N.C.).
Also returning are sophomores Makayla Adams (Michigan City, Ind.), KeAira Wilson (Indianapolis, Ind.). JCSU will also welcome talented freshmen Sydney Brown (Davison, Mich.) and Cristin Cole (Winston-Salem, N.C.) to the mix this season.
The event gets underway on Friday, Nov. 13 at 12:30 p.m. with individual matches. Matches continue on Saturday, Nov. 14 at 11:30 a.m. with the event wrapping up on Sunday, Nov. 15 with Baker Matches at 9:30 a.m.
All play will take place at AMF Centennial Lanes at 4501 South Blvd. in Charlotte.
