The No. 5 Kennesaw State Owls(8-1, 5-0) continue on the road after a big victory. They will be traveling to Florence, Alabama to compete against the University of North Alabama Lions(2-7, 1-3). Kennesaw hopes to continue their perfect streak in the Big South Conference.

The game looks to be in the favor of the Owls as the Lions have fallen to 3 of the 4 teams they have mutually competed against, while KSU has dominated them all.

During the last game, Xavier Shepherd, KSU’s leading quarterback, was injured. Head Coach Brian Bohannon

acknowledged during his post game press conference that they are monitoring Shepherd’s injury to see if he will be able to play during the matchup this weekend. Shepherd has led the Owl’s offense throughout the season and is on the watch list for FCS National Performer of the Year and the FCS Walter Payton Award Watch List. Hopefully, he will be able to perform with his team this weekend, but if not he will likely still assist from the sideline. Coach Bo also mentioned that the energy from the sideline is one of the biggest contributors to their success.

The deciding factor of the game may be how well the defenses play on both sides. The Owls excel at moving the ball on the ground, which is the opposite for the Lions who are great at passing. The Owl’s defense will need to put pressure on their opponents quarterback .

This conference matchup will be a must-see, and may be viewed  on ESPN+. It can also be listened to on the KSU Owls APP. Kickoff is set for 3 pm on November 13th at Braly Stadium.
