Another strong performance has earned Kennesaw State guard Kamiyah Street ASUN Conference Women’s Basketball Freshman of the Week accolades, the conference announced on Tuesday (Jan. 9). It marks her third Freshman of the Week honor this season.
Street made an impressive ASUN Conference debut against Lipscomb on Saturday as she filled up the stat sheet while nearly leading the Owls to a come-from-behind victory over Lipscomb.
The Atlanta native scored 16 points, grabbed eight rebounds, collected six steals, five assists and three blocked shots in a 64-62 loss. It marked the 10th time in 12 games that Street finished with double-digit points, and she equaled a career high for assists and set a personal-best for blocked shots.
Street is averaging 15.7 points a game to rank third in the ASUN Conference and top all freshmen. She also leads the ASUN with 2.8 steals a contest.
The Owls return to action on Saturday (Jan. 13) when they visit North Florida. Tip-off is 2 p.m. (ET).
