Season Update
In the past week, the Reinhardt Lady Eagles soccer team has a record of 2-1, bringing their record to 5-1-1 on the season.
On September 16th, the Lady Eagles began conference play, welcoming the Point University Skyhawks to town. The game didn’t not turn out in favor of the Lady Eagles, as they fell by a 2-1 score. Point’s Celly Ruiz netted the first goal of the game off an assist by the Madison Plemons, giving the Skyhawks a 1-0 lead. Just 42 seconds later, Reinhardt’s Madison Easterwood answered back, scoring a goal of her own with the assist coming from Lindsey White. Easterwood has three goals for the Lady Eagles this season, behind only Megan McCall who has four. After Reinhardt tied the game at 1, Point scored what would be the game winning goal as Kristabell Rangel headed home the ball off a corner kick from Alexis Schock. The 2-1 loss left the Eagles still searching for their conference win of the season.
After a loss against conference rival Point, the Lady Eagles continued their home stand, playing two more home contests. First, the Bob Jones University Bruins came to town. The Lady Eagles defeated the Bruins 3-1 as Megan McCall scored two goals, with one coming in the 35th minute, and one in the 63rd. Megan Monroe added the final goal of the day for Reinhardt in the 89th minute. Goalkeeper Colby LaFever earned the win for the Lady Eagles.

The Eagles followed up the contest against Bob Jones by hosting the Tigers of Brenau. The Lady Eagles dominated the Tigers, finding themselves in front 7-0 when the final horn sounded. After taking a commanding 2-0 lead into the half off goals by Lindsey White and Madison Easterwood, the floodwaters opened for the home team in the second half. In the 50th minute, Kristin Clegg scored off a Megan McCall pass. The lead stayed at 3-0 until the final 20 minutes, when the Lady Eagles would add four more goals. Four different players scored for Reinhardt with Sydney Jacobs scoring her first collegiate goal, and last on the day, making the final score 7-0. With the win, the Reinhardt Lady Eagles soccer team has a record of 5-1-1.
Up next, the Lady Eagles begin a four game road swing. First up is Bluefield College on September 26th. Kickoff is set for 1 PM EST from Bluefield, Virginia.
