- The Challenge is a writing contest that is exclusive to Peach State College Sports contributors for the 2013-2014 school year.
- Contestants must complete the entry form on Peach State College Sports.com
- There is no charge or fee required for Peach State contributors to participate in the contest.
- Contest will consists of two segments.
A topic will be given on Tuesday March 29th and contestants will write an entry that will be a minimum of 550 with a maximum of 850 words. Item will be submitted at the place designated on the entry form. The entry must original work that has not been previously published.Contestants will be given 4 days to complete their segment 1 entry. (Friday May 2nd)
Entries will then be posted on the Peach State College Sports site and readers will be encouraged to vote for the entry they like best through Wednesday May 7th. The vote of the readers will count 30 percent.
A panel of judges will observe the entries as well. The entries will be judged on originality, creativity and artistic merit. The judges decision will count 70 percent
The combination of the readers and judges voting will determine the 3 finalists who will advance to Segment 2.
The 3 finalists will be notified by email and phone call. On Friday May 9th the finalist will receive a second topic and given 2 days to complete their final entry. That entry must be submitted by midnight Sunday May 11th.
There will be no reader voting for Segment 2, just the vote of panel of judges.
The winner will be notified by email and phone call.
