Butch Jones, head coach of the Tennessee Volunteers football team, was on the hot seat going into next season before a win against Nebraska that he desperately needed. After surprising losses to South Carolina and Vanderbilt during the regular season, Tennessee fans started to question whether Jones was fit to be the head coach. After some help from defensive end Derek Barnett and quarterback Josh Dobbs, Jones is safe for the time being.
Senior quarterback Josh Dobbs had a great game with 118 rushing yards for three touchdowns and 191 yards through the air for one touchdown in his last game as a Tennessee Volunteer.
The Vols had an up-and-down season, but they ended with a bang! There is still work to be done for next season as they lose quarterback Josh Dobbs, star senior cornerback Cameron Sutton, junior running back Alvin Kamara (nfl draft), and Derek Barnett (nfl draft). Now that the season is over let’s have a moment of silence for the loss of college football for eight sad months. Until Next season football fans.
