On November 22 2013, the University of West Georgia introduce their new head football coach, Will Hall, to the community of Carrollton. It was a well anticipated announcement as the now full time Athletic Director Daryl Dickey made the decision to step down as the head football coach at the end of this season to focus solely on A.D. duties.”I am extremely excited to be the head football coach at West Georgia,” said Hall, a two-time GSC Coach of the Year. Hall comes from The University of West Alabama with a 25-11 over recored and 11-3 conference record in his three seasons as the West Alabama head coach. Winning is something Hall takes very seriously and has very high aspirations for the West Georgia football program. When talking about winning the Gulf South Conference Hall stated, “We’re going to get there. We’re going to get there at a high rate of speed.” One of Hall’s main points of emphasis was recruiting. He wants to bring top Georgia talent to the University of West Georgia and rightfully so with Georgia being one of the top states in the country for high school recruiting. Hall brings passion and knowledge of the game among many other weapons in his arsenal. It will be very exciting to see where Hall will take the program in the years to come. As fas as Coach Hall is concerned, there’s nothing but championships in sight.
