NEW YORK, NY, April 18, 2018 — The National Basketball Players Association (NBPA), the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (“SIAC”) and the Southwestern Athletic Conference (“SWAC”) are pleased to announce their continued partnership in hosting the 2nd annual Top 50 Basketball Camp. The Camp will take place July 27th-29th on the campus of Morehouse College in Atlanta, GA. Twenty-five of the best players from each conference will be featured at the camp in a model similar to the NBPA’s Top 100 Camp. Players will receive on-court skill development from current and retired NBA players as well as participate in leadership and life skills development sessions off the court.

ATLANTA (February 25, 2018) – Tiffany Valentine (Spring Hill) earned one of the league’s highest honors by being named the 2018 Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) Women’s Basketball Player of the Year, announced Sunday by the league office.

All-conference honors are voted on by the league’s head coaches and sports information directors.

ATLANTA (January 30, 2018) – Since Clark Atlanta debuted in the Regional Poll on Jan. 10, the conference has been unstoppable and has solidified both regional and national rankings for three consecutive weeks according to D2SIDA and National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC).

ATLANTA, Ga (January 22, 2018) – Four SIAC men’s basketball teams were named to this week’s regional polls, sponsored by D2SIDA.

The Men’s Basketball Division II Media Poll, sponsored by D2SIDA, is in its third year of existence. The regional poll is released every Monday, followed by the national poll on Tuesday. These weekly rankings are independent of the official NCAA Regional Rankings that will be released closer to the end of the season. All records are as of Sunday evening.

This week, Morehouse is ranked No. 1, receiving four first place votes, Clark Atlanta is tied at No. 3, Claflin comes in at No. 7, and Benedict rounds it out at No. 10.

ATLANTA, Ga (January 23, 2018) – After yesterday’s showdown between the regionally ranked teams, the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) secured two national rankings this week from D2SIDA and from the National Association Basketball Coaches (NABC).

This week, Morehouse is ranked No. 11 from previously being ranked at No. 15 last week, while Clark Atlanta broke into the poll at No. 22, according to D2SIDA.

In the recent poll, released by the NABC, Morehouse made its first top 10 appearance since 1990.

This week, Morehouse is ranked No. 10 from previously being ranked No. 14, while Claflin is ranked No. 24 from previously being ranked at No. 20 in NABC’s Top 25 Poll.

ATLANTA, Ga (January 22, 2018) – The Central State University women’s basketball team secured their spot at No. 8 in this week’s South Region of the Women’s Basketball Division II Media Regional Poll, sponsored by D2SIDA.

ATLANTA, Ga (January 16, 2018) – As the basketball season continues, three SIAC men’s basketball teams were named to this week’s regional polls, sponsored by D2SIDA, while some of these same teams have been ranked in the Top 25 according to the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC).

This week, Morehouse is ranked No. 2, Claflin came in at No. 5, and Clark Atlanta finished at No. 8.

According to the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Top 25 Poll, Morehouse, along with West Liberty, are now the only undefeated teams remaining in the NCAA Division II which allowed them to solidify their spot at No. 14.

The Claflin Panthers too are ranked by the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) as they replace the Maroon Tigers at No. 20. Claflin is one of four teams that moved into this week’s top 25 along with No. 21 Valdosta State, No. 24 Southern Nazarene – in the top 25 for the first time as a member of Division II.

ATLANTA, Ga – Out of 14 institutions, the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) has three teams represented in this week’s Men’s Basketball Division II Media Regional Poll, sponsored by D2SIDA.

Clark Atlanta, Claflin, and Morehouse have all been powerhouses this season and are scheduled to face each other soon as conference play continues. The rankings, released January 10, ranked three SIAC teams, among those in the South Region rankings are: Clark Atlanta (14-1) is ranked ninth, Claflin (16-1) is ranked seventh, while Morehouse (13-0) is ranked third.
