The Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference today announced a collaboration with The Coca-Cola Company on a commemorative limited-edition bottle to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the conference.
“The recognition and commemoration by the Coca-Cola Company of the SIAC Centennial Anniversary is a testament to the value Coke has attached to the decades long relationship that they have enjoyed with the SIAC, our member institutions, students, and alumni,” said SIAC Commissioner Greg Moore. “As a result, it is critically important that we all continue to show our appreciation by supporting the Coca-Cola Company and all of their great products and community initiatives.”
The commemorative bottle will feature an SIAC centennial seal, along with the conference’s ‘1913-2013’ mark on the bottleneck.
“The Coca-Cola Company has a tradition of producing commemorative bottles to celebrate historic moments. We are proud to create a limited-edition bottle celebrating the 100th anniversary of the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) and look forward to an ongoing relationship,” said Marvin Vines, Regional Marketing Asset Manager, East Region, Coca-Cola Refreshments.”
The bottle will be available during the 81st SIAC Basketball Tournament, which will be held from March 3 through March 8, at Bill Harris Arena in the Birmingham Crossplex. The 2014 SIAC Basketball Tournament will feature both men’s and women’s basketball teams from the 14 members of the Southern Intercollegiate Athletics Conference (SIAC).
