Today, February 5, Head Coach Kevin Kennedy welcomed nine athletes to his team for the 2014 Fall season. Kennedy is excited about this new class of athletes and believes they “have the potential to make an immediate impact” on the team since the Eagles will be graduating their main group of key players this year.
This May, the Eagles will graduate six seniors including Neal Bates, Thomas Valikonis, Roberto Lopez, Witt Carlisle, Hunter Norton and Nick Lane.
Bates, the Eagles primary goalkeeper, is proposed to be succeeded by Kennedy’s recruit Patrick Hagerman from Richmond, Virginia.
There are six Georgia-born athletes included in this recruiting class. Kennedy explains that part of his recruiting philosophy is “to corral the best talent in Georgia”.
The athletes signed to the Men’s team for Fall 2014:
Adam Abdellaoui – Chattahoochee H.S.
Pierre Andreoli – Darlington School, Rome, Ga.
Landon Barrow – Frederica Academy, Saint Simons Island, Ga.
Jon Conner – Archer H.S.
Patrick Hagerman – Mills E. Goodwin H.S., Richmond, Va.
