Hodges arrested early Sunday morning for public intoxication and swearing.

12:30 Sunday Morning in one of the parking lots at The Edge Apartments in Blacksburg.

He was then released the same morning and even though he is underage , he will only be charged for a misdemeanor.

“We have been made aware of the situation and are closely monitoring,” Virginia Tech executive associate athletics director Desiree Reed-Francois said in an email. “We have an institutional policy in place and will abide by the letter and spirit.”

Bucky is Tech’s second leading receiver on the team with second leading reciever with 45 catches for 526 yards and seven touchdowns and holds all the schools records for tight ends. He caught game-winning touchdowns in three of Tech’s games, earning third-team All-ACC honors from the media and freshman All-America honors from the USA Today.

A Virginia Tech spokesperson says the school is aware of the situation and “will abide by the letter and spirit” of institutional policy in deciding on a response.

If  Hodges is suspended for any length of time it would be a significant blow  to their offense considering they open the 2015 season against  the current national champion Ohio State.
