The Kennesaw State University men’s basketball team (10-13) played an ASUN matchup against University of Central Arkansas (7-15). The KSU Owls and the UCA Bears game was definitely an interesting one in Kennesaw, GA.
The Owls beat the Bears offensively in the first half. KSU made a total of 5 three-pointers in the first half which accounted for 15 of their 51 points. UCA did trail behind closely, with their ability to get rebounds, and put the ball right back up to put some points on the board.
The second half was very different from the first, and Kennesaw State came out of the break with a

defensive attitude. KSU held Central Arkansas to only 31 points in the half, as the first half truly determined the final outcome of this game.
The final score was KSU 83 UCA 72. This is a big win for the Owls as they now have a positive win-loss score in their conference (6-5). One can see the improvement in the Owls defense as they kept their energy throughout the game, and offensively they are learning to share the ball with the 17 assists they had this Wednesday night. Hopefully this winning energy will continue as Kennesaw State will stay at home for another ASUN matchup against North Florida, who they previously beat by 2 points in January. Tipoff is set for 5:30 on Saturday, February 12th in the Convocation Center!
