The Kennesaw State University Owls are kicking off a big weekend by hosting a pep rally to hype the students before the game against the Jacksonville State Gamecocks! The pep rally included performances by the Marching Owls, KSU’s marching band, and the back-to-back-to-back national championship cheerleading team ! It certainly was an exciting show they both put on. KSU’s head football coach addressed the crowd, where he claimed it was “the most well-attended pep rally since I’ve been at KSU!” Kerigan Parker, a first-year cheerleader for the Owls says she chose to come

to KSU, because “She grew up in Kennesaw, GA, and she wanted to be a part of a great family! Also, it doesn’t hurt that the cheerleading team she made were 4 x national champions!” Everyone who attended the pep rally definitely felt the spirit and got really excited for the game the next day!

This will be a thrilling game to watch as the last non-conference matchup of the season. The predictions say that there is a 54% chance of the Gamecocks(2-2) winning against the Owls(2-1), but Kennesaw has never lost to Jacksonville State. It will definitely be an interesting game to watch, as the last meeting between the two teams was in 2018 and led to 5 overtimes, with an outcome of a win for the Owls. The KSU vs JSU football game can be watched in person at the Fifth Third Bank Stadium or on ESPN +. You can also listen to a play-by-play for free on the KSU Owls App. Kickoff is at 3 pm EST, and you won’t want to miss this!
