Mercer University opened up its basketball season by hosting its annual Mercer madness carnival on Tuesday, October 29th. Students engaged in activities that excited them about the upcoming season. They were able to play with inflatables, listen to music and enjoy a tasty funnel cake. To excite the crowd more, each student was given a t-shirt, a poster/schedule that contained pictures of the men and women basketball teams. What thrilled the students even more was the opportunity to meet the players from both teams. It was a roaring start to what appears to be a strong basketball season at Mercer University that will hopefully propel both teams to the conference championship and NCAA tournament.
