Construction is underway on the building of the press box at Kennesaw State’s Fifth Third Bank Stadium.

The press box is being built in anticipation of KSU’s inaugural football season that begins this fall. The Owls will make their debut on Feb. 3 when they play East Tennessee State in Johnson City, Tenn. Kennesaw State will host Edward Waters in its home opener on Sept. 12 in a game that will be televised live by Atlanta’s CW69.

The press box will serve as a working area for print media, radio and TV, home and visiting coaches, instant replay and the scoreboard and clock operators.

Less than 600 season tickets remain available for the inaugural season and are still priced at $99 plus a donation to The Owls Fund.

Fans interested in purchasing season tickets can do so by calling the ticket office at (470) 578-6957.

Student tickets will be available through a lottery system where they sign up for each game using Owl Life. A weighted lottery based on class credit hours earned will be utilized meaning seniors will be given higher priority. Student tickets to all regular season home athletics events are free.

Kennesaw State will play six home games during its inaugural season that includes non-conference contests against Edward Waters (Sept. 12), Shorter (Sept. 19) and Point University (Oct. 10). The Owls also will host Big South Conference opponents Gardner-Webb (Oct. 17), Monmouth (Oct. 31) and Charleston Southern (Nov. 7).

The press box is scheduled to be completed by Aug. 8 when Fifth Third Bank Stadium hosts the Major League Lacrosse (MLL) championship game.
