On Friday night at Louisville’s Lynn Soccer Stadium the Wildcats did it again. For the 4th consecutive season the Wildcats beat arch rival University of Louisville 2-0.

Kentucky started off strong defensively but struggled on the offensive side of the ball. In the first half MF/D Kaitlin Miller was key in keeping the Cardinals out of the Wildcats backfield. Goal Keeper Taylor Braun was never really tested until Louisville received a free kick, on what many considered a controversial call. It was a scoreless game as the end of the first half drew near.

In the second half Kentucky’s strikers came out with a vengeance and new attitude, firing shots from midfield.

Zoe Swift dropped back from the forward position to help out in the midfield, providing much more offensive opportunities for the Wildcats.
