ROME, Ga. – The Vikings defeated conference-rival Hendrix College 8-3 on Sunday to take the series win and advance to 21-10 while the Warriors fell to 16-13.
The Vikings’ offense collected 13 hits against the Warriors. Alex McGill went 2-4 with four RBIs, a triple and his third home run of the season. Freshman outfielder, McTier Mosley, made his first start of the season going 2-4 with an RBI and a double.
Ben Jernigan pitched a complete game for Berry allowing three runs on eight hits with five strikeouts and no walks. Jernigan’s performance advanced his record to 7-2 on the season while Hendrix’s Thomas Weber received the loss falling to 3-3.
