After leading 28-7 early in the first quarter, Reinhardt later lost control of the game and received their first loss of their 2015 season. The Eagles had many miscues and turnovers on the day and because of it, they were not able to prevail in the closing minutes of play. Campbellsville flipped the deficit and then outscored the Eagles 63-28 to win the game. With this win, the Campbellsville University Tigers are the 2015 Mid-South Conference West Division Champions.

When Campbellsville Had the Ball
Campbellsville started slow offensively with only one touchdown in the first quarter. After battling back during the second quarter Campbellsville came out in the third quarter with 21 unanswered points and repeated in the fourth with 21 more points. Quarterback Jacob Russell finished the day with 446 passing yards, seven passing touchdowns and one rushing. He also had three receivers with over 100 hundred receiving yards. Jarrod Harrington leading the group with 127 yards on 11 receptions and 1 touchdown.
Although having a strong first quarter the Reinhardt defense was having a rough day on the way to allowing a season and program high of 70 points.
The Eagles defense was lead in tackles by Defensive Back Juice Arnold and linebacker Jacob Gross who each had 11. Defensive Ends Javier Dyer, Hunter Oswald, and Matthew Prather supplied plenty of pressure on the quarterback each having 1.5 sacks on the day to add to the 7 sacks for the defense. Pressuring the quarterback was a goal for the Eagle’s defense and it was evident and supported by statistics that the goal was met. The defense as a whole was not firing on all cylinders which ultimately leading to the 70 points from Campbellsville. Reinhardt’s defense looks to regroup and comeback full force as they look toward incoming Bethel.
