Clayton State men’s cross country produced a strong showing for the third straight week as they finished 10-of-25 at the 14th Annual Foothills Invitational hosted by Division I Jacksonville State on Saturday, October 5. As a team they finished with 300 points and bested DI Kennesaw State.
Junior Zach Czerniak (Suwanee, Ga.) led the way for the Lakers with a 60-of-211 finish behind a time of 28:13.10 while freshman Javier Castillo (Forest Park, Ga.) was 71st (28:27.00). Redshirt-sophomore Courtland White (Rex, Ga.) came in 82nd with a time of 28:45.30 while junior Na’im Allen (McDonough, Ga.) rounded out the top finishers in 88nd (29:01.80).
Clayton State will be in action for a fifth straight week as they close out the regular season at the Bobcat Invitational on Saturday, October 12. The men’s 8k is slated for approximately 9:30 a.m. in Milledgeville, Ga.
