The Reinhardt University men’s cross country team will travel to Rome, Ga. on October 18th for the Viking Open. The meet will be held at Berry College at 8:00 AM EST.
This past Friday, October 3, the Eagles finished fourth out of 10 total teams at Lanier Farms Point Invitational in Lanett, Alabama. The overall finish was credited to the exceptional times of multiple runners who, for the first time in the program’s history, all finished under 29:00 for an 8k race. Roger Herrera of Cartersville, Ga. led the way for the Eagles with a time of 27:31.93. Closely following was Alex Garcia, Nick Zvirbulis, Alex York, and Justin Pirkle, all within 90 seconds of Herrera’s time.
Coming off a pretty strong finish, the RU runners are looking hopeful for the Viking Open, but the team will not have any meets until then. During this off time Reinhardt will be on Fall break, returning to classes October 13th and preparing to travel to Berry College that following Saturday.
