The Florida Gators lost to Vanderbilt on Tuesday, February 3rd 61-67. This upsetting loss was encouraging for Vanderbilt after the Commodores lost 7 times in a row while Florida’s Billy Donovan wanted to bring home another win to earn a three-game winning streak.
The first half of the game seemed to be led by the Commodores who at one point led the Gators by 12 points. Florida stepped up during the second half with Michael Frazier leading the team with 21 points overall but it wasn’t enough to bring home a W. Florida struggled to keep the ball on their side and faced multiple turnovers throughout the game but the Gators did succeed the Commodores with scoring 81% of their free throws; Vanderbilt only making 69%.
With this upset the Florida Gators are up to play #1 Kentucky at 9 P.M. on Saturday, February 7th. Let’s hope the Gators can work hard these next couple of days for a good game on Saturday.
